Description: International Bioenergy Days began in Sweden in 2006 as a way to bring people together to learn from "success stories" and the latest developments in the field. ÄFAB, a Swedish engineering company heavily involved in those events, was asked on numerous occasions to establish a recurring bioenergy conference that could alternate each year between the United States and Sweden, each time in a different location. Minnesota was chosen for the first U.S. presentation. Thanks to the success of the International Bioenergy Days in 2006 and 2007, the United States was offered to host the event in Mankato, MN in 2008. It returned to Sweden last year and now Rockford, IL has been given the opportunity to be this event's host city for its return to the United States. International Bioenergy Days provides an excellent opportunity for learning the latest advances in the field of bioenergy.
